Chateau de Meursault
With a history dating back to the 11th century, Chateau de Mersault is one of the oldest, family-owned domaines in the Côte d’Or. A total of 60 hectares of vineyard spread across the Côte de Beaune from Aloxe-Corton, to Volnay traditionally farmed with minimal intervention and carefully vinified with preservation of terroir always front of mind. Caves dug by Cistercian monks in the 16th century quietly house the barrels and bottles before release with all wine bottled on site. Purchased in 2012 by the Halley family and placed in the careful hands of Stephane Follin-Arbelet the future of the Domaine is not only assured but set for a powerful presence in the ranks of truly great Burgundy.
