Founded in 1846 Champagne Devaux is the leading producer from the exciting Côte Des Bar region in Champagnes south. The House is owned by leading growers of the Region after the last member of the Devaux family handed control to the group in 1987 with assurances that the growers would strive for the highest standards & continue the legacy of the House.Pinot Noir is King in the Côte Des Bar & hence this variety is prominent in many of the Cuvées and what Devaux refer toas the backbone of the House. The D collection is the principle range & showcases the dedication of the House to long ageing before release with a minimum of 5 years for the NV range & 10 years for the Vintage Cuvée. A light salmon pink colour. This champagne is distinguished by its aromas of fleshy red fruits, from the Pinots Noirs of the village of Les Riceysin the Côte des Bar. Roundness and a fresh and fruity finish.
Fresh nose with citrus aromas such as bergamot and lemon zest, followed by aromas of fleshy fruits with juicy white peach. Notes of wild flowers and dried fruits. Freshness with a touch of tropical fruit to finish.
The nose is discreet and fresh with aromas of dried and candied fruits such as apricots and citrus. This wine presents a lot of aromatic complexity and reveals chocolate, blond tobacco and roasted notes.
An elegant and fine nose, with floral, white fruit and citrus notes, followed by chocolate and roasted almond notes. A tonic mouth, then creamy, with notes of lemon zest and bergamot, with sensations of slightly candied fruits, brioche and warm bread. The finish is smooth and fresh.
