Zephyr is a family-owned, single-vineyard winery in Marlborough, organically farming its estate to produce wines that authentically reflect their place of origin. Named after the gentle breeze that shapes Marlborough's unique climate, Zephyr captures the elegance and purity of its environment in every bottle. Established in 1988, the Glover family were among the pioneering growers to plant vines in the now-renowned Dillons Point sub-region, where they continue to craft wines celebrated for their aromatic intensity, refined structure, and unmistakable sense of place.

The Opawa River runs along the southern boundary of the family vineyard and is the lifeblood of the property. It is this river, over the centuries, which has flooded and deposited fertile silt loam onto our vineyard sites. Its waters are home to abundant plant, bird and fish life; most importantly Whitebait, a local delicacy in Marlborough and perfect with a glass of our Zephyr Riesling. The soils of the site are fertile, the aspect is north facing and the sub-region is described as ‘early country’, sheltered from the harsh southerly weather patterns, sitting in the lee of the Wither Hills to the south east of the Wairau Valley floor.
